The Movie and the Book

The year is 1934 and people throughout the U.S. are struggling to make ends meet as a result of the Great Depression. Bright, inquisitive and compassionate Kit Kittredge is a natural born leader. But her life changes abruptly, interrupted when her father loses his car dealership and must leave Cincinnati to look for work.
