The Movie

Bridge to Terabithia tells the story of two unlikely fifth grade friends in rural Virginia. Jess Aarons, an artistic young boy, comes from a large family, struggling to make ends meet. Leslie Burke, a creative and slightly eccentric girl, is the only child of well-to-do parents who have recently moved to their small town.  In order to deal with the pressures of school and family, Jess and Leslie create the imaginary land of Terabithia in the woods near their houses, where they rule as king and queen.  When a terrible tragedy occurs, Jess realizes just how much he has learned and gained from his friendship with Leslie.
